How To Apply Liquiproof Footwear
It's important to follow the application method below to ensure Liquiproof can protect your footwear to it's full advantage:
STEP 1
Ensure the surface is clean and free from dust and dirt. We recommend using on new items.
STEP 2
Spray evenly over the entire surface from a distance of approx. 10-15 cm until the surface is damp.
STEP 3
We recommend the coating is gently rubbed into the fibres to ensure it bonds deep into the fabric using a clean, soft brush.
STEP 4
Allow 10 minutes then repeat steps 2 & 3. Leave to air dry for 24 hours.
Suede, Nubuck and Sheepskin Tip
Once dry, gently use our Premium Hog Hair Brush to restore the soft nap.
Please note – the application method is very important. Not following the instructions correctly may cause irregular protection or visible patches. We are always here to help, so please contact us. DO NOT USE ON WATERPROOF, RESISTANT OR REPELLENT MATERIALS.

Important Guidance and Aftercare
-
Do not apply Liquiproof on top of other delicate porous, surfaces such as granite or marble worktops. They will become repellent!
-
When carrying out Step 3, start on the lightest colours first or use a separate brush for each coloured material. Not following this process may cause irreversible colour bleed.
-
Try not to oversaturate the material. If over-spraying occurs, absorb with a clean, dry cloth.
- When applying to garments that contain a mixture of materials, for example, suede and leather. Apply the blue droplet footwear/fabric coating first to the suede sections following the steps above. Allow to dry fully before applying the black droplet leather coating to the leather sections.
- Apply the Leather coating gently and work it in with our premium soft brush. Let the coating absorb in before repeating. Repeat 3-4 times then allow to dry for 24 hours naturally.
-
We cannot guarantee that our coating will work to its best ability if the surface has previously been treated with other products, so we recommend applying Liquiproof to new items. Using cleaning or treatment products, such as; polish on top of our coating will reduce effectiveness.
-
Liquiproof will not fill air gaps and therefore liquids will still pass through any mesh/netting.
-
If any residue or soiling agents fail to bead up and roll off, simply wash off with clean water immediately. If it still remains, rub with a clean absorbent cloth. Follow care guidelines of the garment.
- Remove all coating residue from non-absorbent materials, such as; buckles, rubber soles or patent leather before they dry.
